T'would be pointless to write a whole year's worth of blurb to fill in for the time I have not upkept this blog, so I won't bother.
My intentions last year were to start another work related blog, and did, but didn't fulfill my regular posting ambitions, so that fell by the way side a bit too.
Anyway it's now the 11th September and nearly a year since I last posted, a message about wanting to escape Preston and live somewhere a bit more rural etc.
And sure enough, we are now living in that place.
We moved to Rossendale at the end of July after selling our house off Broadgate in April, it had been on the market for nearly 6 months so not too bad in the current market.
And having been here for a few weeks now we are now getting to know the neighbourhood, I'm happy to report that it gets a big tick on the countryside front, being surrounded by moors, and within five minutes, a park and fields and a river...
The house meanwhile is stuck in the 1970s. It's got potential, it's just going to take a bit to fulfill. The irony is that the shiny green kitchen has gone from being in, to being most definitely out, to being the height of fashion again. Just need to do something with the gravel (not dog or child friendly), the strip lights in the kitchen (not asthetically pleasing) the decorative textured wallpaper circa 1975, the terracotta and blomonge woodchip bedroom, and ... and ... and. you get the gist.
